犬の心不全治療・予防や高血圧の治療に用いられる治療薬。

血管を収縮させるホルモンや成分を減らす働きをし、血管を弛緩・拡張させることにより、心臓や血管に有害な化学物質やホルモン濃度を減らし、心筋へのダメージを減らします。

（使用法）

犬には0.5mg/kgを目安に１日１～２回投与。

猫には0.25-0.5mg/kgを目安に１日１～２回投与。

症状に応じて適宜、投与して下さい。

About Enalapril-2.5mg 150tablets.

Enapril-2.5 Tablet 15's is prescribed alone or in combination with other drugs. Enapril-2.5 Tablet belongs to angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, primarily used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Enapril-2.5 Tablet  is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors which lower increased blood pressure by blocking a naturally occurring substance known as angiotensin II (that tightens your blood vessels). Enapril-2.5 Tablet allows these constricted blood vessels to relax and therefore help lower high blood pressure. However, Enapril-2.5 Tablet 15's does not cure high blood pressure (hypertension) but does help control it. In addition to this, Enapril-2.5 Tablet  also reduces the physical effects of anxiety. Hypertension (High blood pressure) is a condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes so high that it causes health problems, such as heart disease.

You can take Enapril-2.5 Tablet with a meal or after/before a meal. Your doctor will advise you on the exact dosage and how often you have to take Enapril-2.5 Tablet based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience headaches, ankle swelling, slow heart rate, and nausea. Enapril-2.5 Tablet  may lower your blood pressure especially if taken with alcohol. So, avoid driving and operating heavy machinery. Most of these side effects of Enapril-2.5 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Try not to stop taking this medicine of your own. Even if your blood pressure becomes routine, you should not stop using Enapril-2.5 Tablet. Doing so may worsen your condition. Let your doctor know if you have had or currently have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. In pregnancy and lactation, Enapril-2.5 Tablet should be only taken after consulting your doctor. You should regularly monitor your blood pressure and heart rate.

Enapril-2.5 Tablet is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension or high blood pressure. In combination therapy, it is also prescribed with other drugs, like thiazide diuretics (water pills). Besides this, Enapril-2.5 Tablet  prevents congestive heart failure in combination with diuretics (water pills) and cardiac glycosides like digitalis. In these patients, Enapril-2.5 Tablet  improves heart complications, increases survival, and reduces hospitalization frequency.

Directions for Use

Take Enapril-2.5 Tablet  as advised by your doctor. Preferably take it empty stomach. Swallow it as a whole, do not chew or crush it. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Side Effects of Enapril-2.5 Tablet

Most of the side effects of Enapril-2.5 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. Most common side effect of Enapril-2.5 Tablet are cough, dizziness, vision blurred, weakness, nausea (feeling sick). Very rarely, it can cause depression, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing. It is not necessary for everyone to experience the above side effects. In case of any discomfort, speak with your doctor.

Drug Warnings

Enapril-2.5 Tablet 15's should not be given to the people allergic to Enapril-2.5 Tablet, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. Besides this, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure (hypotension),  heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, or currently on dialysis. Enapril-2.5 Tablet is not recommended in neonates and children with worse kidney functioning (glomerular filtration rate <30 mL/min). Level of raised bilirubin has been reported in some cases, so patients with liver diseases (like cirrhosis, jaundice, yellowing of skin/eye etc.) should take Enapril-2.5 Tablet with caution. Do not take Enapril-2.5 Tablet with alcohol as it may cause low blood pressure (hypotension) with symptoms of dizziness, drowsiness, weariness, or sleepiness. Tell your doctor that, you are using Enapril-2.5 Tablet before undergoing any dental or other surgery. Your doctor might stop this medicine before surgery.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Enapril-2.5 Tablet may interact with diuretics (water pills), potassium supplements, anti-diabetic drugs or insulin, high blood pressure-lowering pills (aliskiren), and lithium.

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid intake of high potassium and sodium intake. Including these in your diet might increase level of potassium in your blood (hyperkalemia). Besides this, do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements while taking Enapril-2.5 Tablet.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Enapril-2.5 Tablet should not be given in patients with angioedema (swelling), bone marrow suppression, congestive heart failure, haemodialysis, hyperkalaemia (high potassium level), low blood pressure (hypotension), liver disease and kidney dysfunction
