Percorten-V 4ml Vial

Percorten-V is an injectable prescription medication formulated to help dogs manage canine Addison’s disease. This complex disease affects the adrenal glands and can happen to dogs of any age. Percorten-V has a history of proven success and by monitoring your pet and administering regular injections, it can help your dog get back on track and back to his daily duties.

Uses

Percorten-V is indicated as replacement therapy for the mineralocorticoid deficit in dogs with primary adrenocortical insufficiency.

Possible Side Effects

Possible side effects that have been reported include depression/lethargy, vomiting, anorexia, polydipsia, and polyuria. Some of these effects may resolve with adjustments in dose or interval of Percorten-V or concomitant glucocorticoid administration.

Drug & Food Interactions

Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs the pet is taking before starting this medication.

Precautions

Do not use in pregnant dogs or in dogs suffering from congestive heart failure, severe renal disease, or edema. Reduce dosage in dogs showing signs of hypernatremia or hypokalemia. Like other adrenocortical hormones, Percorten-V may cause severe side effects if dosage is too high or prolonged.
