マクロライド系抗生物質。クラシッド・クラリスのジェネリック。

有効成分：クラリスロマイシン500mg。

適応種：犬、猫。

適応症：細菌性皮膚感染症、細菌性呼吸器感染症。

有効菌種：ブドウ球菌属、レンサ球菌属、肺炎球菌、モラクセラ (ブランハメラ)・カタラーリス、インフルエンザ菌、レジオネラ属、カンピロバクター属、ペプトストレプトコッカス属、クラミジア属、マイコプラズマ属

もともと、人間用医薬品ですが動物にも有効であることから海外の獣医師に動物用に投与されています。

最近のたんぱく質合成を阻害することで抗菌作用を及ぼします。

マイコプラズマ、クラジミアをはじめとする様々な細菌に対して抗菌作用を発揮、特に呼吸器感染症や猫の風邪、ケンネルコフ、トキソプラズマ症の治療薬として有効。

（使用法）

症状に応じ2.5-10mg/kgを目安に１２時間ごとに投与。

This medicine is useful for not only human but also animals,especiall for dogs and cats.

Contains the active ingredient : Clarithromycin which is a type of medicine called a macrolide antibiotic. It works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers. The bacteria eventually die or are destroyed by the immune system. This clears up the infection.

Clarithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that helps clear up infections caused by a wide variety of bacteria.

What is it used for ?

Chest infections (lung or lower respiratory tract infections), eg bronchitis, pneumonia. Clarithromycin may also be prescribed to prevent whooping cough in people who haven't been vaccinated against whooping cough and who are in close contact with someone who has it.

Infections of the nasal passages, sinuses or throat (upper respiratory tract infections) eg sinusitis, pharyngitis.

Skin or soft tissue infections, eg cellulitis, folliculitis or erysipelas.

Middle ear infections (otitis media).

Lyme disease.

Eradicating Helicobacter pylori bacteria from the gut in people with peptic ulcers (in combination with other medicines).

Clarithromycin has a similar range of antibacterial activity to penicillin and so is also useful as an alternative to penicillin in people who are allergic to penicillin antibiotics.
