コクシジウム症とは主に幼犬や子猫、また子豚や子牛が罹患するコクシジウム原虫の感染によって引き起こされる寄生虫感染症です。

症状としては下痢や脱水、血便が見られ成長不良や衰弱の原因になります。

（使用法）

子犬：生後３～４週で体重１ｋｇあたり10~20mg(0.2~0.4ml)を１日１回投与。

子猫：生後３～５週で体重１ｋｇあたり10~20mg(0.2~0.4ml)を１日回投与。

子豚：生後３～５日で体重1kgあたり20mg(0.4ml)を１日１回投与。

子牛：生後３～５日で体重1kgあたり15mg、おおよそ3ml/10kgを１日１回投与。

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The drug contains the active substance tetrazuril, a derivative of the triazintrion group, with a wide range of action: Eimeria adenoides, E. alabamensis, E. arloingi, E. bovis, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. meleagrimitis, E. necatrix, E. scarab, E. tenella, Isospora suis, E. zuernii; and other species at all stages of their intracellular development.

Toltrazuril disrupts intracellular stages of eimerium development, influencing merogony, micro- and macrogametes. It inhibits the fission of the nuclei of emeralds and reduces the activity of mitochondria, which are responsible for respiratory metabolism.

In animals, tetrazuryl is partially metabolized to form sulfonic oxide and sulfon derivatives. Further it is almost completely excreted with faeces in unchanged form or in the form of tetrazuryl sulfone or tetrazuryl sulfon dioxide.

The preparation has no mutagenic, carcinogenic and teratogenic effect.

APPLICATION

Prevention and treatment of young cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits and poultry (broilers, breeding poultry, repair young chickens, parent and broiler herds, meat turkeys) with eimerioses caused by eimerioses sensitive to tetrazuril.

A bird should receive water with the drug as the only source of drinking water. In severe cases, if necessary, the course of treatment is repeated after 5 days.

To achieve the maximum preventive effect and reduce the amount of oocysts in the external environment, in unfavorable for coccidiosis farms the drug is used by animals until the first signs of the disease.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

It is allowed to slaughter animals for meat: piglets – in 77 days, calves – in 63 days, rabbits – 70 days, poultry – 14 days after the last application of the drug.
