有効成分:ジフェンヒドラミン50mg。

ジフェンヒドラミンは、もともと人間用としてアレルギー症状、虫刺され、乗り物酔い、旅行不安などの症状を緩和する抗ヒスタミン薬ですが、海外では動物用(猫と犬に対して獣医師にも投与されています。

経口ジフェンヒドラミンは、獣医学での使用がFDA(米国食品医薬品局)の承認を受けていませんが、犬や猫への使用は一般的に認められています。

犬や猫に対しては主に虫刺されによるアレルギー症状やかゆみの緩和、乗り物酔いや旅行不安の治療や鎮静、睡眠導入剤としてよく投与されます。

 

(使用法)

犬と猫への通常の投与量は、1.1~4.4mg/kgで、8~12時間ごとに投与してください。徐放性カプセルは、食事に混ぜたり溶かしたりしないでください。

 

<注意事項>

・この薬は、妊娠中または授乳中の動物には使用しないでください。ペットにジフェンヒドラミンを副鼻腔炎薬や風邪薬と併用しないでください。

・ペットがジフェンヒドラミンまたは他の抗ヒスタミン薬にアレルギーがある場合は、獣医師と相談して下さい。

・緑内障、前立腺疾患、尿路閉塞、高血圧の既往歴がある場合も、獣医師と相談してください。

・ペットが他に服用している薬については、必ず獣医師と薬剤師に伝えてください。

<副作用>

・眠気、口渇、尿閉などがあります。まれに、嘔吐や下痢が起こることがあります。

・の服用を忘れた場合、忘れた分はできるだけ早く服用させてください。次の服用時間が近い場合は、忘れた分は服用せずに、通常の服用スケジュールを続けてください。

・ペットに一度に2回分を与えないでください。

・過剰摂取させた場合は獣医師または動物病院の救急外来に連絡してください。過剰摂取の症状には、発作、極度の眠気、昏睡、呼吸抑制、死亡例などがあります。

・本剤投与中はジフェンヒドラミンを含む他の副鼻腔炎薬や風邪薬をペットに与えないでください。

・精神安定剤やバルビツール酸塩などの他の CNS (中枢神経系) 抑制薬と併用する場合は注意して使用してください。
